a couple of bits from the times

two articles from the nyt that are of interest, at least enough for me to blog them. (with my recent history of non-blogging, that is something.)

the first is about college publications that feature sex in a multitude of iterations. vassar's squirm was the first among the haughty east coast schools, first published in 2000. I remember when the publication came out that there were some people who were a little shocked. for the most part, I don't think anyone was really that surprised. it was vassar, after all.

the second is to note the passing of m. jean baudrillard, whose work on photography I drew from for my thesis at goldsmith's. r.i.p. jean.
